In this book, 12 baby animals are depicted with a parent which can either be interpreted as a mother or a father. Mostly common animals are used such as a cat and a dog, but several more uncommon animals such as a fish, bee, and snake can also be found. Each animal and parent are depicted on a two page spread. The first half of the book repeats, "It's time for bed . . ." and the second half of the book repeats, "It's time to sleep, . . ." The end of the book shows a mother putting her daughter to bed and it ends with the daughter sleeping peacefully like an angel. Time For Bed is a little gem of a book and another Resource favorite!
