Learning to Read

Because learning to read is so important, we decided to break out our "Learning to Read" books even though they are also listed in the general "Learning" section. The biggest factor for children becoming successful and energetic readers is daily reading practice with a book at their targeted level. Nothing discourages a child more than reading a book that is too hard for them. As a rule of thumb...if a child misses 3 or more words on the page, that book is too hard for them.
