General Shipping Information
All customer orders ship from our Virginia warehouse within 2 business days of order processing. Confirmation emails are sent to notify customers when their orders have shipped and tracking information is provided at that time, if applicable.
Domestic Shipping Rates:
Standard shipping is via USPS Priority Mail, Fed Ex Home Delivery, or UPS for all delivery addresses within the CONTINENTAL US. This does NOT include APO or FPO addresses.
Typically, lighter packages (2 lbs. or less) are shipped USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation and heavier packages (over 2 lbs.) are shipped Fed Ex Home Delivery or UPS. USPS Priority Mail deliveries typically take between 2 to 3 business days. Fed Ex Home Delivery and UPS typically takes between 1 and 7 business days.
FREE SHIPPING: Orders shipping to the contiguous lower 48 US states and the District of Columbia that exceed $75 in merchandise are eligible for free shipping. The shipping amount will automatically be deducted from your order during checkout. Orders qualifying for free shipping may ship in recycled boxes received from our distributor. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APO addresses, FPO addresses, and international destinations are NOT eligible for free shipping. Free shipping orders typically ship via a ground service or USPS Parcel Post.
APO & FPO ADDRESSES: You will need to select the "APO & FPO Addresses" shipping selection for all APO or FPO addresses.
FedEx EXPRESS SAVER shipping is delivered in 3 business days to most areas. The day of shipping is NOT considered a business day. Published rates are for the 48 Contiguous States only. Please contact us if you need faster service OR service to Hawaii and Alaska. APO & FPO addresses are NOT eligible for FedEx Express Saver shipping.
Book Rate shipping is via USPS Media Mail and available to customers whose orders contain BOOKS ONLY. It includes delivery confirmation and is available to ALL 50 States. Media mail deliveries average between 7 to 14 business days. However, we have experienced some shipments to the West Coast (especially California) have taken 30 business days to deliver. This is outside of our control. Please do not use this shipping option if your books are needed in a short period of time. We offer media mail merely as a courtesy to our customers.
Expedited Shipping:
Arrangements can be made to expedite shipping for ANY domestic order. Please contact us with the desired expedited shipping method, order items, and shipping destination prior to placing your order so we can make arrangements and determine the additional charges.

Alaska & Hawaii
Our shopping cart is not set up to automatically calculate shipping charges to AK & HI. Customers will need to contact us with their desired item(s) and shipping destination including zip code prior to placing an order so we can determine shipping charges. We will email customers with their shipping options. Upon customer approval of the charges, we will email an invoice for payment. Orders will ship USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx.
By contacting us for shipping charges, we have found our customers save a great deal over flat rate shipping.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
International shipping DOES NOT qualify for free shipping regardless of order amount.
Our current method of international shipping is through the US Postal Service (USPS). We offer Priority, and Express Mail. First Class International is available to CERTAIN DESTINATIONS for CERTAIN packages.
For orders of 2 or more items, shipping is actual charge only with NO handling or processing fees. For orders of 1 item only, shipping is actual charge PLUS $1.00 USD.
INSURANCE:
Insurance can be added to MOST destinations and is optional for any order totaling LESS than $50 USD in merchandise. The insurance rate for orders under $50 is $0.95 USD for shipments to CANADA and $1.60 USD for shipments to all other international destinations.
Any order exceeding $50 USD in merchandise will require MANDATORY INSURANCE. Insurance rates are based on the merchandise total and start at $0.95 USD for shipments to CANADA and $1.60 USD for shipment to ALL OTHER INTERNATIONAL DESTINATIONS. Insurance rates increase for merchandise totals over $100 USD and then again for merchandise totals over $200 USD.
PAYMENTS by Visa, MaterCard, Discover, and Paypal:
DO NOT USE OUR SHOPPING CART IF YOU ARE AN INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER. International customers MUST FIRST contact us for shipping charges.
We have recently changed our credit card processor and CANNOT adjust any credit card payments anymore. Please email us your desired items with shipping address and we will provide you your shipping options. Once an international customer has confirmed their shipping charge, we will email the customer an invoice for payment. International customers must identify whether they plan to pay through a credit card or through Paypal to receive the correct invoice.
We hope to streamline the process for international customers in the near future, but until such time, we will have to process international orders this way.
***PLEASE NOTE:*** Any duties or taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer. International customers will need to contact their local import office or postal office for information on duties/taxes. If duties and/or taxes are assessed, they will be in addition to the shipping charges paid. We DO NOT mark international packages as "gifts" and international orders are NOT eligible for gift receipts. |
