[From the Publisher]
It is the end of a day and the zookeeper is checking on the animals as he says good night to them. The first visit is to the gorilla cage where unbeknownst to the zookeeper, the gorilla lifts the master key as the zookeeper turns to leave. And so begins the imaginative, wordless tale of the zookeeper as he visits each animal cage on his way home. All the way, the zookeeper is oblivious to the gorilla following behind him with the master key opening each cage and letting the animals out. By the time the zookeeper makes it to his home, all the zoo animals are quietly following behind. Find out what happens to the animals in this imaginative tale by Peggy Rathmann.
[Additional Notes]
This board book is largely wordless with "good night" repeated through out -- a few other words to identify each animal and the book contains only 10 different words. Not to be disappointed though, as a rich story is indeed told through the detailed and expressive illustrations. Peggy Rathmann has spun another winner and Good Night Gorilla is another Resource favorite.
