Dad yells "bedtime" but the hampsters continue their celebration even as the boy has crawled into bed. Finally having had enough, the boy himself screams "bedtime" and the hampsters finally line up to start the procession home. Dad kisses his boy goodnight and the final page is of the boy sleeping peacefully. [Additional Notes] 10 Minutes till Bedtime is a mainly wordless book, with the father's gradual countdown and occasional asides from the hamsters providing the only text. The illustrations are truly wonderful and each numbered hamster takes on a personality of his own. Attentive readers will be rewarded with lots of detail and each page can be described as "eye candy."
